Innovative Pest Control
Most innovations and research in pest management focuses on agricultural applications. Pest control in homes and the structural aspects of pest problems is far more difficult to come by with innovations often coming directly from the technicians in the field. Suburban Exterminating is always willing to try new methods and has adopted many over the last several years with bee vacuums, thermal imaging and pest proofing just a few of the improvements we continue to make.
As we approach our "50th" year of serving Long Island we feel a special responsibility to our neighbors and to the beautiful landscape we all share. Over this last year we have volunteered our time to service "4-poster stations" on Fire Island. These stations help reduce the tick population on Fire Island, this is a large project that we were happy to volunteer for, one small way of giving back and saying thank you to Long Island.
Does Green Pest Control Really Work?

Suburban trains our field staff all year long and recently completed a state of the art training facility at our offices to allow hands on training in a realistic setting. We hold monthly all day seminars and host nationally known experts to address our staff about the latest pest control methods. We have been so successful with our integrated pest management and green programs because of our highly trained personnel.

Sentricon Colony Elimination System
Suburban has been authorized by Dow Agro-Sciences to use the Sentricon Elimination System, the only proven baiting system for protecting structures from subterranean termites. Available only to specially trained and authorized pest control firms, Sentricon eliminates termite colonies and provides ongoing protection from costly termite damage.
With Sentricon we can completely eliminate the entire termite colony for the first time ever. Other termite control methods are designed to simply create a barrier to prevent termite entry.
The Benefits of Sentricon
Another unique benefit of Sentricon is the fact that the termite bait is secured only in those stations having termites and removed when the colony is eliminated. Sentricon is also less intrusive to our customers because monitoring and baiting can be performed entirely from outside the building. This is the most significant termite control development the industry has seen in over 50 years.
